Mablethorpe is a small seaside resort on the coast of Lincolnshire, England. Its beach is long, wide and flat, with golden sand. A large earth bank serves as a sea defence, and there is a sand train to take visitors to the north end of the beach, where there is a zoo. So far Mablethorpe has remained immune from the large caravan parks that now dominate resorts such as Skegness and Ingoldmells, enabling it to retain much of its character.
